If you are needing to pick up your child early (e.g. for an appointment), please call Reception and request in advance for your child to be sent to the office at the appropriate time. Reception staff will send a note to your child’s class so that whomever is responsible can notify the child and send them up at that time. Given the busyness of our school, we would appreciate advance notice wherever possible to allow time for your child’s teacher to be reached.
If you would like your child to meet you at Reception when you arrive, please follow this procedure:
Person collecting student contacts Reception
Reception sends a note with the runner to collect the student and bring them to Reception
Person collecting student signs them out
Due to the nature of changing schedules and shared staff responsibilities, we would ask parents to coordinate early pickups through Reception only, allowing adequate time for their child to be notified, rather than planning directly with teaching staff or teacher’s aides.
Please be aware that we cannot have children leaving their class without their teacher being notified by Reception of their early leaving plans.
Finally, as a matter of student safety, we require parents to collect their Junior School children in person from Reception, rather than waiting in the carpark. We appreciate your understanding and partnership in this matter.
During the school day, all parents or other visitors who will be travelling through student areas must sign in at Reception. Please note that these arrangements exclude normal drop off and pick up times at the start and end of the school day. Parents who are meeting their children at Reception do not need to sign in.
Any student leaving the school before the end of the school day, whether independently or with a parent, must leave via Reception to ensure that they are signed out accurately.
Students in Year 11 and 12 are, upon approval, allowed to arrive late to school or leave early when they do not have classes scheduled on their timetable. Students making use of the flexible timetable arrangements are expected to present their timetable at Reception when signing in and out. Please note that the latest allowable time for arrival is 10:55am, and the earliest allowable time for departure is 11:10am. For more information, or to provide consent for your Year 11/12 child, please refer to the flexible timetable permission form here.
